If you are part in any of this then you need to change your Smartphone.;
1. If it is more than three years old:
It is risky to use a smartphone for three for more than three years. Though you may be thinking that you don't really have much money or you have some other plans or budgets for your money.Using a smartphone for three years cannot kill you but, sometime you may be in the mist of people where you won't even want to bring out your phone. But sincerely it will be insecure because the manufacturer may not even channel its update and some app might not work on it.
If your smartphone is in this category, I'll advice you to change it.
2. If there are no more support or security updates
If there are no more security updates delivered by the manufacturer to your smartphone, then it is now dangerous to continue using it. Android smartphones won't get any more security updates if it's more than three years old and this means after three years, you're better off getting a new smartphone.The benefits of security updates outweigh user's interest to continue using their smartphone if the manufacturer ceases to support or disentangle security updates then your smartphone is insecure. The benefits of security updates include getting the latest features and software, bug present in old OS version is fixed, protection against dangers discovered etc.
3. When newer version of the phone OS is released
For instance, the present release of newer android version, Android 7 Nougat, released in August 2016, is not intended for compatibility with cell phones that utilizes Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801/800 chipset, which includes many smartphones made over the most recent couple of years.Android phones like Samsung Galaxy S4 won't run Nougat, neither will Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3 or OnePlus One, all flagship models released in the spring of 2014. However, the latter three can be upgraded to Android 6 Marshmallow (from fall 2015).
If your phone falls under this category,then it’s high time move yourself and get a new Smartphone.
